The North Carolina Music Ambassadors is an ensemble of outstanding high school musicians selected

from across the state to represent North Carolina through two incredible weeks of performance, sight-seeing, and cultural exchange. Under the direct leadership and supervision of distinguished North Carolina

educators and conductors, and through collaboration with Bob Rogers Travel, the group tours continental Europe every two years, sharing American music and culture while gaining global experiences through concerts and collaborations with musicians abroad. The program promotes musical excellence, cultural understanding, and lifelong friendships through the universal language of music.

Bob Rogers Travel brings over four decades of music-education and student-travel expertise to the North Carolina Music Ambassadors 2027 tour. From crafting a fully customized itinerary that aligns with the ensemble’s performance and cultural goals, to managing flights, lodging, ground transportation, performance logistics, and student payment tracking, Bob Rogers Travel handles every detail so the NC Music Ambassadors directors and staff can focus on making music and the student experience their main priority. Explore Four Countries

In Summer 2027, the North Carolina Music Ambassadors will journey across four vibrant European nations: France, Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. The tour begins in France, where students will immerse themselves in Parisian culture and historic venues, before crossing the Swiss Alps to experience the alpine beauty of Switzerland. From there the group will travel to Germany, visiting charming medieval towns and resonant performance sites, and finally conclude in Austria — a land steeped in classical-music heritage and breathtaking scenery. This itinerary offers participants not only rich cultural and musical experiences but the opportunity to connect with peers and audiences across diverse settings.

Unique Performance Venues

The North Carolina Music Ambassadors have performed in some of the world’s most historic and inspiring venues, bringing their music to audiences across Europe and beyond. Their concert tours have included performances in grand cathedrals, concert halls, and picturesque outdoor plazas—each offering its own unique acoustic and cultural experience. From intimate community performances in charming towns to concerts in celebrated cultural centers, these venues provide students with unforgettable opportunities to share their artistry and represent North Carolina on an international stage. Every performance setting reflects the ensemble’s commitment to musical excellence and cultural exchange.

Visit Historic Locations

The 2027 tour promises not only outstanding performances but also journeys through some of Europe’s most storied and iconic sites. In France, students will gaze up at the Eiffel Tower and visit the arts district of Montmarte. In Switzerland they’ll explore the alpine resort towns of Crans‑Montana and Zermatt, and visit the medieval cliff-side Chillon Castle overlooking Lake Geneva. Heading into Germany, the ensemble will walk the fairy-tale village of Rothenburg, where city walls and cobblestones evoke centuries past. Finally, in Austria, they will visit the spa town of Bad Hofgastein and experience the rich musical and cultural backdrop of Salzburg.
